Mr. Riggin began his career in 2006 after graduating from Louisiana Tech University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. With six years of experience in the civil engineering profession, Mr. Riggin joined the Lazenby & Associates, Inc. team in 2012. He is an active member of the Louisiana Engineering Society, National Society of Professional Engineers, American Council of Engineering Companies/Louisiana, Louisiana Society of Professional Surveyors and the National Society of Professional Surveyors. He is also the 2018 recipient of the Louisiana Engineering Society’s F. Hugh Coughlin Young Engineer Award. In 2013 he completed the Leadership Ouachita program sponsored by the Monroe Chamber of Commerce.
After obtaining his engineering license in 2011, Mr. Riggin immediately began taking additional college courses in pursuit of his Land Surveying License. After completing all of the course work and taking the required examinations, he obtained his Professional Land Surveying License in 2014.
Mr. Riggin has over 16 years of experience in the civil engineering and land surveying profession. During his tenure with Lazenby & Associates, he has gained extensive land surveying experience in property boundary surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys, topographic surveys, hydrographic surveys, right-of-way mapping, and construction layout. He has also provided the engineering design and project management for various drainage, transportation, water distribution, sanitary sewer collection, residential site development, and commercial site development projects for various independent, municipal, parish, and industrial clients.
