Mr. Crosby joined the firm of Lazenby & Associates, Inc. in 1993. He has been active in the Louisiana Engineering Society on both local and state levels including having served as State President in 2006-2007. He is also a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, National Society of Professional Engineers, American Council of Engineering Companies /Louisiana, and Louisiana Society of Professional Surveyors. He is a recipient of the Louisiana Engineering Society’s F. Hugh Coughlin Young Engineer Award and the Andrew M. Lockett Medal for Civic Activities as well as the Louisiana Society of Professional Surveyors’ Surveyor Excellence Award. Mr. Crosby was appointed to the Louisiana Professional Engineering and Land Surveying Board by Gov. Bobby Jindal in 2011 for a six year term as a representative of Professional Engineers in Private Practice. He currently serves as the Parish Engineer for the Ouachita Parish Police Jury and Engineer for the I-20 Economic Development District. He is a past Chairman and Board Member of the West Monroe/West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce and completed the Monroe Chamber of Commerce Leadership Ouachita in 1999. From 2007 to 2010, Mr. Crosby served on the Louisiana Tech University College of Engineering and Science Advisory Board. He currently serves as a board member on the Monroe-West Monroe Convention and Visitors Bureau. Mr. Crosby served as a coach and Board Member for several years in Dixie Youth Baseball and Softball and West Ouachita Youth Sports Association Football. He has also acted as coach for NELSA Girls and Boys Soccer, YMCA Boys Football and Coach for Travel Baseball, Girls Travel Soccer and Travel Football teams.
While previously serving as head of the Survey Department of Lazenby & Associates, Inc., Mr. Crosby gained extensive experience in property boundary surveys, topographic surveys, right-of-way mapping, hydrographic surveying and construction staking surveys. Additionally, he has provided professional engineering services on a wide variety of general civil engineering projects, including roadway projects, flood control projects, port projects and various domestic water, sanitary sewer, stormwater drainage and transportation projects.
